Job summary

Forexx Group B.V. seeks a Project Lead Mechanical Engineering to lead complex mechanical engineering projects on high-end superyachts. You will guide an engineering team, manage budgets and ensure timely delivery of technical information and drawings for production.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical or maritime engineering, at least three years in project leadership, and excellent English communication in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating mechanical engineering projects.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical installations and technical systems.
• Knowledge of project management, planning, progress monitoring and budget control.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Independent, structured and result-oriented working style.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate an engineering team and manage the complete mechanical engineering scope within a yacht-building project.
• Coordinate and monitor project planning, engineering budgets and overall progress.
• Ensure that technical information and production drawings are available to Production and Procurement on time.
• Coordinate technical solutions with other engineering disciplines.
• Manage suppliers and verify that systems and materials are delivered according to specification and schedule.
• Coordinate and monitor technical approvals from the relevant authorities.
• Resolve technical issues during both the engineering and production phases.
• Remain involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial engineering through to delivery of the yacht.
