Job summary

Middle Point is seeking an experienced Project Leader – Mechanical Engineering to drive multidisciplinary yacht engineering projects from concept to production. You will coordinate propulsion, engine room, piping, and hotel systems, leading a skilled mechanical engineering team to deliver production-ready solutions that meet planning, quality, and technical standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years in the field and hands-on yacht-building

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
Experience in yacht building or maritime industries is mandatory.
Proven experience leading engineering projects in maritime/yacht building.
Proficiency with CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) or Siemens NX preferred.
Strong command of English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical engineering projects throughout the complete yacht building process.
Coordinate propulsion, engine room, piping, and hotel systems engineering.
Manage the mechanical engineering team and coordinate multidisciplinary activities.
Ensure timely delivery of engineering documentation and production drawings.
Coordinate with Production, Procurement, suppliers, and classification societies.
Monitor project planning, budget, quality, and engineering progress.
Support the project from detailed design through construction and handover.
