Job summary

Destinus in Born, the Netherlands, is seeking a Production Planner to keep our aerospace manufacturing moving with precision, balancing materials, schedules and priorities to deliver high-quality products on time.

You will develop and optimize production plans, coordinate with Procurement, Logistics and Production teams, monitor inventory, and drive improvements to reduce waste and boost efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years in production planning, manufacturing planning, supply chain, or production control.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and MRP.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems for scheduling and inventory.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise multiple activities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and production planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on time delivery.
  • Coordinate the flow of work orders, materials, and production priorities across manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to balance availability and stock optimization.
  • Work with Procurement to ensure materials are available when needed and support MRP.
  • Plan and coordinate allocation of equipment, materials, and production capacity.
  • Collaborate with Production teams to monitor progress and meet targets.
  • Identify bottlenecks, shortages, and constraints, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Partner with Logistics to ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production records, schedules, inventory data, and performance reports.
  • Analyze production performance and propose process improvements to raise productivity and reduce waste.

What You'll Do



  • Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on time delivery.

  • Coordinate the flow of work orders, materials, and production priorities across manufacturing operations.

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to maintain the right balance between availability and stock optimization.

  • Work closely with the Procurement team to ensure materials are available when needed and support material requirements planning.

  • Plan and coordinate the allocation of equipment, materials, and production capacity to maximize efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Production teams to monitor manufacturing progress, identify deviations from plan, and ensure production targets are achieved.

  • Identify production bottlenecks, material shortages, and operational constraints, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.

  • Partner with Logistics to ensure finished products are delivered according to customer commitments.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate production records, schedules, inventory data, and performance reports.

  • Analyze production performance and recommend process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.



What You'll Need



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of previous experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, supply chain, or production control within an industrial environment.

  • Strong understanding of production planning methodologies, inventory management, and material requirements planning.

  • Experience working with ERP or MRP systems for production scheduling and inventory management.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple production activities in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning tools.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams.

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Fluent English. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
