Job summary

Destinus in Born is seeking a skilled Production Planner to keep our aerospace manufacturing operations running smoothly. You will build and optimize production schedules, coordinate work orders and materials, and collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, and Production teams to meet deadlines.

The role requires a strong background in production planning, inventory management, and ERP/MRP systems, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production planning or related roles within an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and material requirements planning.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems for scheduling and inventory management.
• Strong analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Excel and production planning tools.
• Excellent cross-functional communication across Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate flow of work orders, materials, and production priorities.
• Monitor inventory levels and balance availability with stock optimization.
• Work with Procurement to ensure material availability and MRP support.
• Plan allocation of equipment, materials, and capacity.
• Collaborate with Production teams to monitor progress and deviations.
• Identify bottlenecks and constraints and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Partner with Logistics to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
• Prepare accurate production records, schedules, and performance reports.
• Analyze performance and recommend process improvements to boost productivity.

What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on time delivery.


• Coordinate the flow of work orders, materials, and production priorities across manufacturing operations.


• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to maintain the right balance between availability and stock optimization.


• Work closely with the Procurement team to ensure materials are available when needed and support material requirements planning.


• Plan and coordinate the allocation of equipment, materials, and production capacity to maximize efficiency.


• Collaborate with Production teams to monitor manufacturing progress, identify deviations from plan, and ensure production targets are achieved.


• Identify production bottlenecks, material shortages, and operational constraints, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.


• Partner with Logistics to ensure finished products are delivered according to customer commitments.


• Prepare and maintain accurate production records, schedules, inventory data, and performance reports.


• Analyze production performance and recommend process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.


• At least 5 years of previous experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, supply chain, or production control within an industrial environment.


• Strong understanding of production planning methodologies, inventory management, and material requirements planning.


• Experience working with ERP or MRP systems for production scheduling and inventory management.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple production activities in a dynamic environment.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning tools.


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams.


• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.


• Fluent English. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
