Job summary

McCain Foods Holland B.V. seeks a Production Manager to lead safety-first operations and drive manufacturing performance at a 24/5 site in the Netherlands. You will oversee 7–10 direct reports and ~180 staff, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficient use of resources.

You'll guide 5S, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging SAP and reporting tools while collaborating with R&D, maintenance, and support functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Food Science, or related technical discipline.
• Several years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Experience leading teams in a complex, shift-based manufacturing operation.
• Strong knowledge of food safety systems, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex operational challenges.
• Experience with production performance management, workforce planning, and people development.
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing reporting systems.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and change leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety systems and standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory and audit requirements while supporting customer needs.
• Drive production performance, efficiency, and continuity across production and packaging operations.
• Develop organizational capability through workforce planning, training, succession planning, and talent development.
• Optimize utilization of labour, materials, energy, and water while reducing waste and improving operations.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives using McCain Drive Impact.
