Join the team behind Tellent HR, our HRIS platform trusted by thousands. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll focus on backend development in Node.js with opportunities to touch the React frontend to enhance customer experience.

You’ll work in a product-minded squad, shaping technical decisions and delivering real value. You’ll collaborate with engineers, a Product Manager, and QA to evolve the platform, improve scalability, and drive customer impact.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing backend services in Node.js.
• Experience with React frontend is a plus.
• Strong communication and English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve core HR workflows in Node.js, focusing on correctness and reliability for country-specific time-off policies.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services used by organizations of all sizes.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing features as the user base grows.
• Refactor and modernize the platform while ensuring a seamless experience for existing customers.
• Occasionally contribute to frontend development in React when it improves the customer experience.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, Product Managers, QA, and designers to solve customer problems and deliver value.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing to raise the engineering bar.
