Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Process Development Intern to join the D&EM R&D team in Nijmegen. You will contribute to process modelling, perform pilot plant trials and help develop CFD/data models for key unit operations under investigation.

This 6-month internship starts Dec/Jan 2027, reports to the Process Design & Pilot Plant Manager, and offers exposure to senior stakeholders, hands-on project ownership, and opportunities to present conclusions and recommendations.

Qualifications

Master's level education in food processing technology or chemical food/chemical related engineering.
Fluent in English; Dutch not required.
Enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load during internship.

Responsibilities

Learn processing technologies and applications for Kraft Heinz portfolio.
Generate data by pilot plant trials with unit operations.
Develop, validate and simulate CFD/mathematical/data models for key unit operations.
Perform techno-economic evaluation on model outcomes; set conclusions & recommendations.
Share knowledge with HIC and other departments via presentations and reports.
