Job summary

The Pyrmont Curaçao Beach Resort is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Engineer to drive the property's preventive maintenance program, ensuring all equipment and systems run safely and efficiently. This role focuses on minimizing downtime, extending asset life, and maintaining operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have a technical diploma in engineering or a related field, 2–3 years in hospitality maintenance, and strong fault-finding, documentation, and team skills.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and building systems.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and work in various physical environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems regularly.
• Maintain preventive maintenance logs and documentation.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Respond to maintenance and guest service requests as needed.
• Coordinate with Engineering team for repairs and follow-ups.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks across the property.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Support preventative maintenance programs across the property.
• Assist other engineering and maintenance team members as needed.
• Ensure work is completed according to company quality and safety standards.
