Job summary

The Pyrmont Curaçao Beach Resort is seeking a Kitchen Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service all kitchen and F&B equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations in a hospitality setting.

You will work with the engineering team to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive maintenance, and support installation of new equipment, while upholding safety and sanitation standards in an adults-only resort environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of kitchen equipment maintenance experience in hospitality
• Technical diploma or certification in relevant mechanical/electrical/refrigeration domains
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers
• Perform preventive maintenance on all kitchen and F&B equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to kitchen equipment
• Inspect kitchen equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality
• Respond to kitchen and operational maintenance requests promptly
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized equipment repairs when necessary

Position Summary

The Kitchen Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing all kitchen and food & beverage equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports daily kitchen operations and responds to maintenance and guest service requests in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration systems preferred
• Minimum 2–3 years of kitchen equipment maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in hot kitchen environments
• Hotel or resort experience preferred

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers
• Perform preventive maintenance on all kitchen and F&B equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to kitchen equipment
• Inspect kitchen equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality
• Respond to kitchen and operational maintenance requests promptly
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized equipment repairs when necessary
• Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
• Support installation of new kitchen equipment
• Maintain tools, parts inventory, and work areas in safe and organized condition
• Assist Engineering team with general maintenance tasks as needed
• Support preventative maintenance programs across the property
• Assist other engineering and maintenance team members as needed
• Ensure work is completed according to company quality and safety standards
