Job summary

SoftwareOne in Amsterdam is seeking a Pre-Sales Consultant to own the pre-sales process from discovery to handover, focused on ITAM, FinOps, and software sourcing services. You will shape opportunities, define scope, and turn requirements into practical, deliverable solutions.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Sales, Delivery, and customers. The role requires workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and strong English and Dutch communication in a hybrid Amsterdam setting.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of ITAM, FinOps, and software sourcing.
• Experience defining scope, margins, and proposals for customers.
• Fluency in English and Dutch with strong stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to lead discovery sessions and workshops with customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the pre-sales process from discovery through handover to delivery.
• Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, and customers to shape opportunities.
• Define scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and delivery approach.
• Prepare proposals, pricing inputs, statements of work, and value cases.
• Run discovery sessions and workshops; turn needs into deliverables.
• Maintain reusable pre-sales materials and templates.
• Capture lessons learned to improve future materials.
• Work with Marketing, Bid, and Enablement to align collateral.
• Partner with Sales and Delivery to support account planning.
• Act as subject matter expert in ITAM, FinOps, and software sourcing.
• Support meetings, handle objections, and identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive offerings to strengthen positioning.
