Job summary

Leiden University’s Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) invites a postdoc to develop graph analytical methods for population-scale social networks and longitudinal data from Statistics Netherlands. You will join PLANET-NL and the Leiden Network Science group, bridging computational and social science approaches.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science or related field with network science focus.
• Excellent English writing skills demonstrated in publications.
• Affinity bridging methodological and substantive social science questions.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration across groups and disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in network science.
• Publish high-quality research papers from project results.
• Collaborate with PLANET-NL inter-university group.
• Engage with Leiden Network Science group.
• Co-supervise BSc, MSc and PhD students.
• Engage in minor organizational activities.
