Job summary

Delft University of Technology is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to build and integrate an EMT transmission-system backbone for the UTOPYS project. The focus is on scalable RSCAD/RTDS modelling of the Dutch 380/220 kV backbone and on defining reusable model libraries and interfaces.

The successful candidate will coordinate integration and testing, convert and reduce component models, and release well-documented open models and datasets. Appointment is full-time for two years.

Qualifications

• PhD in electrical engineering, power systems or related field, or close to completion.
• Strong knowledge of power-system dynamics and electromagnetic-transient modelling.
• Experience with real-time or EMT simulation tools and large power-system models.

• Build and integrate an EMT transmission-system backbone for the UTOPYS project.
• Develop scalable RSCAD/RTDS models of the Dutch 380/220 kV backbone.
• Define model libraries, interfaces, and perform model reduction.
