Job summary
The University of Twente invites a postdoctoral researcher to join UTOPYS and help build the Open Source Library of EMT models for real-time power system simulation. You will develop plug-and-play reference models of customer-side assets and microgrids, collaborate with partners at TU Delft and other universities, and publish models and methods open access for the coming decade.
The position is full-time, based at the University of Twente with ongoing links to TU Delft, and offers a competitive
Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
- Strong background in EMT simulation and power system dynamics.
- Experience with modelling, simulation and analysis using listed tools.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate EMT models of microgrids and components in RTDS/RSCAD.
- Create an RTDS library of customer-side and converter-based components.
- Assemble models into reference system models for UTOPYS library.
- Documentation, version control, testing and validation criteria.
- Publish models and methods in journals and conferences.
