Job summary

Amsterdam UMC in Amsterdam invites applications for a four-year research contract (36 hours/week) to study metabolic changes during enterovirus infections in gut and brain organoids, with comparisons of immunocompetent and immunodeficient models. Planned secondments to Giessen (Germany) and Innsbruck (Austria) will accompany comprehensive omics analyses and pathway modelling.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in biomedical sciences, infection, immunity or related fields.
• Experience working with viruses, mammalian cell culture, qPCR, and bioinformatics preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (C1/C2 CEFR).
• Mobility: not resided/worked in the Netherlands for more than 12 months in the 36 months before 1 April 2027.
