Job summary

The Hoxton Lloyd is seeking a 5–6 month People & Culture Intern in Amsterdam. You will support recruitment from CV screening to interview planning, help onboard new team members, and maintain HR records.

You’ll assist with training, events, and internal communications while handling confidential information with discretion. Ideal candidates are studying Hospitality Management or HR, fluent in English (Dutch helpful), and able to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources or a related field.
• Available for a 5–6 month internship, ideally starting January 2027.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Dutch is a strong plus.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Well organised, proactive and able to keep a few plates spinning at once.
• Interested in recruitment, employee experience and what makes a team thrive.
• Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential employee information.
• A natural people person who communicates easily, enjoys helping others and knows how to make people feel welcome.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment from start to finish, including CV screening, initial candidate calls and interview planning.
• Post vacancies on our careers page and relevant recruitment platforms to help us find the right people.
• Help welcome new team members by coordinating onboarding, organising coffee chats and making sure they feel at home from day one.
• Keep employee records and HR systems up to date, including setting up accounts and supporting administrative processes.
• Track training completion and assist with organising training sessions and development activities.
• Help bring our team together by organising team events, celebrations and engagement initiatives.
• Support internal communication, keeping the team informed about important updates, activities and opportunities.
• Assist with everyday P&C administration, from scanning and filing documents to ordering business cards and preparing paperwork.
