Job summary

The Hoxton Amsterdam is seeking a People & Culture Intern to support day-to-day people operations and help create a great experience for our team, from their first day to their last.

You will assist with recruitment, onboarding, HR records, training coordination, and internal communications, while helping organise events and engagement activities. This internship starts January 2027 for 5-6 months.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Human Resources or a related field.
• Available for a 5-6 month internship, ideally starting in January 2027.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Dutch is a strong plus.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, and quick to pick up new systems.
• Well organised, proactive and able to keep a few plates spinning at once.
• Interested in recruitment, employee experience and what makes a team thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment from start to finish, including CV screening, initial candidate calls and interview planning.
• Post vacancies on our careers page and relevant recruitment platforms to help us find the right people.
• Help welcome new team members by coordinating onboarding, organising coffee chats and making sure they feel at home from day one.
• Keep employee records and HR systems up to date, including setting up accounts and supporting administrative processes.
• Track training completion and assist with organising training sessions and development activities.
• Help bring our team together by organising team events, celebrations and engagement initiatives.
• Support internal communication, keeping the team informed about important updates, activities and opportunities.
• Assist with everyday P&C administration, from scanning and filing documents to ordering business cards and preparing paperwork.
• Handle employee information with care and confidentiality.
• Be a go-to person for the team, helping colleagues with questions and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.
