Job summary

The Hoxton Lloyd is seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to join our Amsterdam team. You will support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You will act as a first point of contact for People queries, help organise team events, and maintain HR records and payroll-related processes. Dutch language skills are a plus as you collaborate with local teams.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within hospitality.
• Passion for creating a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee experience.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to juggle priorities while getting things done.
• Clear English communication; Dutch language skills are a plus.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding

• Support recruitment activities, including job advertising, CV screening, telephone interviews and preparing contracts and offers
• Coordinate onboarding for new starters, including onboarding plans, system access and People Inductions
• Monitor temporary contract expiry dates and support timely follow-up

Talent Management & Employee Relations

• Support the employee lifecycle by monitoring 30-day and annual reviews and following up where needed
• Support the quarterly L&D calendar and coordinate engagement initiatives and surveys
• Act as a first point of contact for day-to-day People queries
• Support the Hox Squad and help organise monthly team get-togethers

People Administration & Compliance

• Maintain accurate employee records, trackers, HR systems and review systems
• Support the annual legal audit of employee files
• Support hour registration and payroll processes
• Stay up to date with Dutch employment legislation and People-related requirements

Qualifications

What we’re looking for...

• It’s all about attitude for us. You’re helpful, approachable and the person people feel confident coming to with any question.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within hospitality.
• Passion for creating a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee experience
• You execute. You’re organised, detail-oriented and able to juggle priorities while getting things done.
• You’re familiar with HR systems, payroll processes and Microsoft Office, and communicate clearly in English. Dutch is a plus.
• You handle confidential information with care, professionalism and discretion.
