Job summary

PaymentGenes, a Netherlands-based consultancy, seeks an entrepreneurial Director to lead client portfolios in payments and FinTech. You will own the commercial and delivery aspects, cultivate relationships with senior executives, originate new opportunities, and shape the growth of the consultancy.

Fluency in English is required; Dutch is a plus. The role is hybrid with 3 days in the Amsterdam office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of consulting experience with a track record in Payments, FinTech or Financial Services.
• Proven ability to generate new consulting business and grow relationships.
• Experience leading complex strategy or transformation projects for executives.
• Established network of senior decision makers across payments ecosystem.
• Fluent English; Dutch is beneficial but not required.
• Residence in the Netherlands within commuting distance of Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial success and delivery for your client portfolio.
• Build trusted relationships with C-level executives across the payments ecosystem.
• Originate new consulting opportunities and lead complete proposal process from conversations to contract.
• Grow long-term client relationships and develop strategic account plans.
• Represent PaymentGenes at conferences, events and within the payments ecosystem.
• Act as executive sponsor for engagements, ensuring quality, client satisfaction and success.
• Guide consulting teams through complex strategy, payments strategy, innovation and go-to-market projects.
• Provide executive-level advice on growth strategy, product strategy, market entry and transformation.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and exceed client expectations.
