Job summary

PaymentGenes Consultancy in Amsterdam is seeking a Strategy Consultancy Intern for H2 2026. You will own a dedicated development project and work with our consultants, spending at least half your time on product development and the remainder on ongoing initiatives.

You will conduct market and competitor research, analyze payments trends, translate data into recommendations, and draft client‑ready materials. The internship lasts 5–6 months, 36–40 hours/week, fluent English; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• You are enrolled in a university Master’s degree, ideally in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Available for 5-6 months, starting in October 2026.
• Available for 36-40 hours per week.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and willingness to experiment with AI/automation.
• Based in Amsterdam or nearby and eager to learn consulting, payments and FinTech.
• Self-motivated, proactive and a natural relationship builder.

Responsibilities

• Own a dedicated development project with hands‑on exposure to consultants.
• Spend at least 50% on a product or proposition development project.
• Conduct market, competitor and potential client research.
• Analyze payments trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments.
• Translate data into actionable recommendations and draft materials.
• Develop and implement new features, including data sources for products.
• Use AI and automation to improve internal or commercial processes.
• Prepare client‑ready presentations and propositions; support business development initiatives.
