Job summary

Confluent Health, LLC and its affiliates, is seeking a Care Coordinator at our Amsterdam location. You will be the first voice and face for patients, handling front desk duties, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communications with warmth and professionalism.

No healthcare background required; we provide comprehensive training including EMR navigation and scheduling workflows. Compensation ranges $17.00-$20.00 per hour, with a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, in Amsterdam, NY.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as retail or reception is ideal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized.
• Clear, patient communication on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming first impression for patients and visitors.
• Manage front desk operations: check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, calls.
• Review referrals, update patient records, explain next steps.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments and managing waitlists.
• Collect copays and payments accurately and document them.
