Baoase Curaçao is seeking a skilled Pastry Assistant to join our culinary team in a luxury resort setting. You will help prepare pastry items, ensure consistency in flavor and presentation, and maintain a clean, organized workstation.

Under the Pastry Chef’s guidance, you’ll assist with desserts and baked goods, follow recipes, uphold food safety and HACCP standards, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Basic pastry training or relevant kitchen experience.
• Solid pastry fundamentals: mixing, baking, plating.
• Strong organization, storage, and cleanliness practices.
• Accurate recipe following to maintain consistency.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP.
• Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Works well under pressure in fast-paced settings.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and production of pastry items with consistent quality.
• Support Pastry Chef in daily operations and desserts development.
• Follow procedures for mixing, baking, decorating, storing products.
• Maintain clear communication to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
