Job summary

NTU International is seeking a Non-Key Expert – Rule of Law to support technical assistance assignments related to rule of law, justice sector reform and governance in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region.

The assignment requires a university degree with postgraduate preference, excellent English, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Travel to remote areas may be required to engage with ministries, courts and civil society partners.

Qualifications

  • University degree in law, public administration or related field (preferably postgraduate).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to draft high-quality documents and reports.
  • Strong knowledge of rule of law, justice sector reform, governance, and relevant frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance on rule of law, justice sector reform and governance.
  • Support capacity building and institutional strengthening of justice-sector bodies.
  • Contribute to policy guidance, strategic planning and monitoring activities.
  • Draft reports, position papers and briefs for European and partner stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with ministries, judicial institutions, and development partners; travel to remote areas as needed.
