Job summary

GEODIS is een internationaal logistiek bedrijf met een vestiging in Horst. Als order picker werk je in een dynamisch magazijn en zorg je ervoor dat orders volledig, nauwkeurig en op tijd vertrekken.

Je voert werkzaamheden uit als orderpicking, verpakking en magazijnverplaatsingen met EPT. Bij goed functioneren is er kans op een vaste positie binnen het bedrijf.

Qualifications

• Minimaal 1 jaar ervaring in een magazijn- of logistieke omgeving, met orderpicken of verpakken.
• Voldoende Engelse taalvaardigheid om werk- en veiligheidsinstructies te begrijpen.
• Ervaring met handheld scanner of EPT, of de bereidheid dit te leren.
• Eigen vervoer om naar het magazijn in Horst te reizen.
• Bereidheid om een Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag (VOG) te leveren.

Responsibilities

• Orders picken met een handheld scanner.
• Producten veilig en nauwkeurig verpakken.
• Goederen verplaatsen met een elektrische pallettruck (EPT).
• Zorgen voor controle van inkomende en uitgaande orders.
• Orders klaarmaken voor verzending.
• Veiligheids- en kwaliteitsprocedures volgen.

Job description

Vacaturebeschrijving Wat je gaat doen As an order picker at GEODIS, you make sure customer orders leave the warehouse complete, accurate and on time. Your work includes:

• Picking orders with a handheld scanner;
• Packing products safely and accurately;
• Moving goods with an Electric Pallet Truck;
• Checking incoming and outgoing orders;
• Preparing orders for shipment;
• Following safety and quality procedures.You work closely with your colleagues to achieve the daily targets without losing sight of accuracy and safety.

Do you have a valid forklift or reach truck certificate? Depending on the work available, you may also use these vehicles and take on additional warehouse responsibilities.

You work 32 to 40 hours per week in alternating day shifts:

• One week from 07:00 to 16:00;
• The following week from 09:00 to 18:00.This schedule gives you the stability of daytime warehouse work without regular night shifts.

• A salary of €14.99 to €16.20 gross per hour;
• Guaranteed work for 32 to 40 hours per week;
• A temporary contract with the possibility of a permanent position;

• Travel allowance from 10 kilometres, up to €12.50 per working day;

Your exact hourly wage within the stated range will be discussed based on your relevant experience and the applicable job classification.

Functie-eisen You are accurate and reliable and enjoy working as part of an international warehouse team. You also have:

• At least one year of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, including order picking or packing;
• Sufficient English skills to understand work and safety instructions;
• Experience with a handheld scanner or EPT, or the ability to learn this;
• Your own transport to travel to the warehouse in Horst;
• The willingness and ability to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct, known as a VOG.

Warehouse work involves regular walking, standing and moving products. It is therefore important that you are comfortable with physically active work.

A forklift or reach truck certificate is an advantage but not required for the basic order picker position.
