Your role as a Operations Support Director Europe
Key responsibilities:
About the Role
As Operations Support Director Europe, you will lead and develop NewCold’s European Operations Support function, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient operations across our rapidly growing network of automated cold storage facilities. This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for driving operational excellence, supporting site performance, and developing a high-performing team of operational experts. You will partner closely with Operations leaders, regional teams, and central functions to standardize best practices, improve productivity, and support strategic growth across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and Develop the European Operations Support Function
- Define and execute the European Operations Support strategy in alignment with business priorities and the AOP.
- Establish clear governance, standards, and ways of working across the region.
- Ensure effective prioritization and resource allocation to support operational sites, regional initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Build a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
Drive Operational Excellence Across Europe
- Support Country and Site Leadership teams in improving productivity, efficiency, cost performance, and operational stability.
- Lead cross-site improvement programs and the implementation of operational best practices.
- Standardize processes and operational disciplines to improve consistency across the European network.
- Drive performance through KPI management, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a senior operational leader, fostering a culture focused on sustainable performance and measurable results.
Collaborate Across Functions and Regions
- Serve as a key liaison between Operations and central business functions.
- Ensure operational requirements and site feedback are incorporated into system development, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Support the rollout and adoption of new technologies, tools, and operational standards across European sites.
- Partner with Area Operations Directors to identify improvement opportunities and provide operational support where required.
- Strengthen collaboration across business units to deliver operational and strategic objectives.
Strengthen Governance and Continuous Improvement
- Enhance operational support processes and governance frameworks across the region.
- Identify recurring operational risks and systemic issues, leading root-cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
- Champion data-driven decision making and performance management.
- Ensure focus on key strategic priorities and continuous improvement opportunities that deliver measurable business impact.

- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills within a matrix organization.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a passion for data-driven decision making.
- Ability to lead change, drive standardization, and build high-performing teams across multiple countries.
- Fluent English communication skills; additional European languages are an advantage.
