Job summary

A leading logistics company in Breda is looking for a Refrigeration Engineer Specialist to join their Design & Engineering Department. You will manage technical works through all project life cycles and develop refrigeration concepts for warehouse projects worldwide. The ideal candidate has a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a strong background in refrigeration. You'll need to be adaptable to a dynamic work environment and proficient in English, with travel required for project support.

Qualifications

• Design capability for complete refrigeration systems, including load calculations.

About the vacancy

The Refrigeration Engineer Specialist will be part of our Design & Engineering Department which is responsible for design and engineering of all NewCold projects worldwide. As Refrigeration is the key element within our projects, we have a dedicated team for Refrigeration Engineering. This department is located at our headquarter in Breda Netherlands where projects for Europe are being developed; as a Refrigeration Engineer Specialist you will support our USA, Australian and Asian developments.

What will you do?

• As engineer you are responsible for all the technical works related to the Refrigeration through the entire life cycle of a project including the use of the operational phase of the Warehouse
• Develop and deliver refrigeration concepts for our warehouse development
• Together with the project engineering prepare the tender packages for the specific suppliers
• Monitor the engineering process based on quality and Total Cost of Ownership
• Provide support to business development on budgeting and Refrigeration Solutions
• Cooperate with operations on continuous improvement of the Refrigeration Equipment

Who are we looking for?

• You have Master or Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or qualified equivalent experience in related field
• You have Evidence of a strong background in refrigeration Engineering (Suppliers, Engineering firms)
• You are willing to travel on a fairly regular basis
• You are comfortable working in a dynamic work environment
• You are highly proficient in English, any other European language is a plus
• This position requires knowledge and ability to design a complete refrigeration system, including load calculations and equipment selection
