Job summary

NewCold Melbourne is seeking a data-driven professional to shape the future of our analytics and integration platforms and grow into a Product Owner role. The role combines analytics, data integration, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver valuable data products.

You will work in Breda with a 4 days/week office presence, collaborating with a global team on Azure-based data solutions, while aspiring to broader product ownership and strategic alignment across business and technology.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years hands-on experience in the data landscape (analytics, integration, data platforms, BI).
• Familiarity with data analytics tools, data science concepts, and cloud platforms (Azure is a plus).
• Some exposure to agile ways of working or the Product Owner role—or the ambition to grow into it.
• Strong English communication skills; other European languages are a plus.

What you’ll do

• Drive Data Solutions: Work on our modern data platform (Microsoft Azure, Fabric) and integration platform (BizTalk, Azure) to deliver high-value solutions.
• Translate Business Needs into Data Products: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into actionable data solutions.
• Shape the Product Vision: Support the Product Manager in defining the roadmap and priorities for data and integration products.
• Manage Backlog & User Stories: Learn and apply agile practices to maintain a clear, prioritized backlog and write user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Ensure Quality & Performance: Monitor solution performance, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Grow into Product Ownership: Over time, take on more responsibility for product vision, stakeholder alignment, and delivery outcomes.

What we’re looking for

• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in the data landscape (analytics, integration, data platforms, BI).
• Familiarity and hands‑on experience with data analytics tools, data science concepts, and cloud platforms (Azure experience is a plus).
• Some exposure to agile ways of working or the Product Owner role—or the ambition to grow into it.
• Strong communication skills in English (other European languages are a plus).
• A proactive mindset and the ability to bridge business and technology.
• Willingness to work from our Breda office 4 days/week and travel abroad occasionally.

Nice to have

• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification (or willingness to obtain it).
• Data Governance experience (Microsoft Purview)
