Job summary

sennder is seeking an Operations Representative to join our Amsterdam office and manage daily transport operations for a key customer account. You will be the link between customers, carriers, and internal teams, coordinating execution and resolving issues to maintain high service levels.

You will build strong relationships with carrier partners, monitor KPIs, and contribute to capacity planning and improvements. English is essential; Dutch is a plus, and logistics exposure helps.

Responsibilities

• Act as daily operational contact for the customer, internal teams and carrier partners.

We are a growing team looking for an Operations Representative to join our Amsterdam office and be part of an international team keen to provide the highest level of service to our largest key customer.

What you will do

As an Operations Representative you will manage the daily transport operations for a key customer account, acting as the link between customers, carriers, and internal teams. You’ll coordinate transport execution, resolve operational issues, manage customer expectations, and build strong relationships with carrier partners to secure capacity and ensure high service levels.

• Act as the daily operational point of contact for the customer, internal teams and carrier partners.
• Coordinate communication between the customer, tracking team and carriers to ensure smooth transport execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners.
• Align with carriers on available capacity, future planning and operational requirements.
• Coordinate transport allocation, offer loads to carriers and support freight price discussions to secure the best operational solution.
• Monitor transport KPIs such as on‑time delivery, transit times and delivery exceptions.
• Investigate the root causes of operational disruptions and implement improvements to enhance delivery performance.
• Support the commercial side of carrier management by helping secure capacity and identifying additional carrier opportunities.
• Analyse customer and carrier performance and identify practical improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience across your portfolio.
