Vos Logistics Benelux Distribution is a logistics service provider specializing in 24‑hour distribution, warehousing, cross docking, container handling and International Transport via Freight Management. With 65,000 m2 of storage and cross‑dock facilities in Woerden, we are excellently positioned in the Randstad to supply stores, businesses and consumers efficiently.

We do this with a modern fleet of 175 vehicles and more than 200 trailers.

Competenze

• HBO level education with demonstrable management experience in warehousing or logistics.

As Operations Manager Warehousing, you are responsible for an important part of our warehousing activities within the Benelux, with 3 warehouses totaling over 65,000 m2. You direct daily operations and are responsible for optimization, financial performance and further development. In doing so, you ensure efficient, safe and customer-focused execution of logistics processes. You are part of the local and broader management team of Vos Logistics and operate at the intersection of strategy, tactics and operations. You translate long-term objectives into concrete improvements and drive performance, productivity, quality, service, costs, capacity and financial results. You play an important role in making our warehouse operations future-proof. You promote digitalization and data-driven working and leverage new technologies, including AI, to make processes smarter, more efficient and more predictable. Sustainability is also part of your role: you continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and logistics flows and reduce our ecological footprint. You look ahead and provide input for the long-term vision and strategy of the warehouses. You forecast volumes and the required capacity of people and resources and contribute to decisions on investments in mechanization, automation and robotics. You also play an active role in implementing new customers and processes. This gives you real room to change, improve and build. You strengthen the teams within operations and create a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. You coach and develop employees, ensure proper staffing and encourage collaboration. You lead with trust and clarity and create an environment where learning, accountability and shared responsibility are self-evident. At the same time, you ensure compliance with laws and regulations, company procedures, customer agreements and safety requirements. You look beyond the warehouse walls. You maintain and develop customer relationships, discuss performance and customer satisfaction and monitor contract and SLA agreements. Using reports and data, you translate insights into concrete improvements. Additionally, you recognize commercial opportunities and work with customers and internal stakeholders to find solutions that fit both operationally and commercially.

We have your job! Do you have the skills?

• You have an HBO level of education and demonstrable management experience in warehousing or logistics;
• You have solid knowledge of logistics processes, transport and supply chain management;
• You are strong in organizing and optimizing processes and can drive KPIs, productivity, planning, budgets and financial results;
• You have knowledge of and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), LEAN and developments in mechanization, automation and robotics;
• You know how to coach and develop employees and create ownership and collaboration;
• You have strategic insight and can contribute to long‑term vision and capacity planning;
• You are a strong communicator, interact easily with employees, management and customers and have an eye for commercial opportunities;
• You are familiar with relevant legislation and safety regulations within a logistics environment.
