Job summary

GXO ServiceTech in Dordrecht is launching a state-of-the-art repair workshop for TVs, home appliances and audio gear. As Operations Manager you will lead a small team of direct staff and a larger indirect workforce, overseeing the entire repair process from receipt to diagnosis, repair and return, and ensuring KPIs and output targets are met.

• 5+ years of experience as operations manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Experience in a service/repair/technical environment or in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
• Full-time availability (38 hours) - Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm
• Experience managing supervisors/team leads
• Proven experience working with KPIs
• Fluency in Dutch and intermediate English, verbal and written.

Job description

As the Operations Manager for Workshop Repair at GXO ServiceTech in Dordrecht, you will lead a brand-new, state-of-the-art repair workshop. Here, televisions, household appliances, and audio equipment from major A-brands are repaired and refurbished.

You are responsible for daily operations: from the arrival of devices to diagnosis, repair, and shipment to the customer. You ensure that processes are tightly organized, KPIs are met, and the team understands its objectives. You will lead a team of 3 - Direct employees and 150-160 indirectly.

You start the day with the team, monitor the schedule, and adjust where necessary. You maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, keep an overview, and ensure structure, order, and clarity. While quality is important, you also understand that output and profitability ultimately make the difference.

The Dordrecht workshop is set to become a flagship location. You are therefore building not just a team, but also the future of GXO ServiceTech.

What will you be doing?

• Operational manager leading a team with a hands-on approach
• You oversee the entire repair process: receipt, diagnosis, repair, and return. You monitor SLAs, customer KPIs, and output targets, intervening when bottlenecks arise.
• Leadership and coaching
• You manage team leads and further develop the team. You foster a sense of ownership without relying on hierarchical or dictatorial leadership.
• Performance management
• You work in a KPI-driven manner, analysing figures and making data-based adjustments. You ensure a healthy balance between quality and productivity.
• Process improvement
• You optimize workflows, implement Lean/5S methodologies, and continuously improve the workshop's layout and operations.
• Stakeholder management - attending QBR's and MBR's
• You serve as the operational point of contact for internal departments (Planning, HR, Finance, QESH) and external customers.
• Safety & compliance
• You ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all guidelines.

What do we expect from you?

• Ideally 5 years of experience as an operations Manager or in a similar leadership role
• Experience in a service/repair/technical environment would be preferred, or have worked in a fast-paced warehouse (repair, production, logistics, or similar)
• Full-time availability (38 hours) - Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm
• Experience managing supervisors/team leads
• Proven experience working with KPIs
• Senior-level presence and natural leadership skills
• Hands-on and decisive
• Structured approach with strong process orientation
• Result-oriented: you understand that output counts
• Fluency in Dutch and intermediate English, verbal and written
