Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking candidates for the two-year Operations Excellence Program (OEP). You will engage in client work, solve problems, design analyses, and present recommendations while receiving coaching and capability-building opportunities across lean manufacturing topics.

You will rotate through multiple client engagements across industries, supported by a global operations practice and a structured growth curriculum, with the chance to work from our European offices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and exceptional academics required.
• Initial experience in Lean Manufacturing (e.g., Toyota Production System, kaizen methods, TPM, JIT, SMED) and/or in quality and compliance (e.g., quality gates, Six Sigma, cGMP regulations, remediation).
• Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities.
• Mobility and enthusiasm for taking on European assignments during the work week.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and the local office language.

Responsibilities

• Work on client engagements identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing analyses, and synthesizing recommendations.
• On-the-job coaching and structured capability-building through the OEP program.
• Based in a European office as part of McKinsey's Operations Practice and help clients achieve operational excellence.
• Engage in Lean Manufacturing projects and contribute to knowledge development within the practice.
