About The Role
We are looking for an Operation Specialist to support the daily operations of Huawei’s Amsterdam Research Center. The role serves as an important operational interface between R&D teams and internal functions such as Procurement, Finance, HR and Legal.
The position covers procurement operations, project coordination and team support, ensuring that daily operational activities are handled efficiently, accurately and in compliance with company processes.
The ideal candidate is well-organized, proactive and detail-oriented, with strong communication and coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced international R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & PR/PO Operations
- Support the daily procurement operations of the Amsterdam Research Center.
- Coordinate PR/PO processing, follow-up and acceptance, ensuring procurement activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Follow up with requesters, suppliers and relevant internal stakeholders on PO delivery, service completion, invoice and acceptance matters.
- Support procurement-related documentation, data maintenance and reporting.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, processes and approval requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Finance and other relevant functions to resolve operational issues.
- Team & Business Support
- Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to R&D teams and management.
- Support team activities including meetings, events, workshops, business visits and other internal/external activities.
- Assist with travel arrangements, meeting coordination, document preparation and other team support activities when required.
- Act as an operational contact point for team members and help resolve routine operational issues.
- Maintain relevant operational records, trackers and databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in operations, procurement operations, project coordination, business administration or a similar role.
- Experience in a multinational company or international working environment is preferred.
- Good understanding of procurement and PR/PO processes is a strong advantage.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, responsible and solution-oriented working attitude.
- Good command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with procurement or ERP systems.
- Experience in supporting R&D, technology or engineering organizations.
- Experience in project management or cross-functional coordination.
- Familiarity with procurement compliance and internal business processes.
