Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) seeks an IT Support Engineer to act as the on-site first contact for internal IT incidents. You’ll triage, route, and manage incidents, provide VIP and OT device support, and maintain end-user service quality.

Based in Amsterdam, you’ll support devices, onboarding, and ticket administration while driving continuous improvement and user experience across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of IT support experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication with a customer focus and patient manner.
• Proactive, able to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear status updates and stakeholder communication.
• Experience with modern workplace technology and improvement.
• Experience delivering workplace services including Intune, M365, Windows endpoint and mobile management.
• Dutch and English language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site single point of contact for IT incidents via phone or walk-ins.
• Act as primary contact for WPS incidents even when escalated.
• Provide professional first-line IT support to HCME employees.
• Support devices used in the OT environment with urgency and priority.
• Deliver priority support to VIP users with a seamless experience.
• Maintain ticket administration and contribute to knowledge base.
• Handle joiner/mover/leaver provisioning and account setup.
• Configure and deploy laptops, mobiles, tablets for end users.
• Provide on-site support at Amsterdam office and other HCME sites.
• Strive for continuous improvement of end-user experience.
