Job summary

MEININGER Amsterdam is seeking an experienced reception supervisor to oversee the front-office team and ensure exceptional guest service. You will lead night shift receptionists with the Assistant Hotel Manager and drive MEININGER quality standards across operations.

The role requires an outgoing hospitality professional fluent in English, with experience in front-office systems and a readiness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Initial experience and passion for hospitality.
• Outgoing personality and ability to thrive in a busy environment.
• People person who enjoys helping guests and creating memorable experiences.
• Team player ready to support colleagues and tackle challenges together.
• Good knowledge of a front-office system (ASSD, Fidelio, SIHOT).
• Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth operations of the reception team and provide great guest service.
• Ensure customer service standards are met and guests have a positive experience.
• Maintain MEININGER quality standards in your area.
• Lead night shift receptionists together with the Assistant Hotel Manager.
• Be flexible to work weekdays, weekends and night shifts.
• Set goals for performance and deadlines in line with company values.
• Submit performance reports according to the working schedule.
• Monitor team productivity and provide coaching per policy.
• Be analytical with a problem-solving mindset.
• Collaborate with fellow supervisors to ensure smooth front-office operations through motivation and support.
