Job summary

Middle Point B.V. is seeking a Systems Requirements Engineer to contribute to advanced naval shipbuilding projects in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

You will focus on requirements management, traceability and verification, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure complex naval systems meet customer and project requirements. Responsibilities include collecting customer requirements with IBM DOORS, setting baselines, deriving clear specs, ensuring traceability, and supporting verification

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Requirements Management principles.
• Experience in analysing, structuring and managing technical requirements.
• Familiarity with IBM DOORS or any other requirements management tools.
• Understanding of requirements traceability and verification processes.
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills.
• Excellent English; German is beneficial and Dutch is a plus.
• EU citizenship required due to naval defence projects.

Responsibilities

• Collect and manage customer requirements using IBM DOORS.
• Set up requirements baselines and track changes.
• Analyse and break down requirements into functional and non-functional specs.
• Ensure requirements are clear, consistent and measurable; resolve conflicts.
• Collaborate with project teams to document requirements.
• Prepare and structure requirements for internal teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor development and report status of requirements to stakeholders.
• Support system verification activities and collect evidence that requirements are met.
