Job summary

Damen Naval is seeking an Engineer Systems Requirements to join a naval shipbuilding project. You will capture and manage customer requirements, ensuring alignment with project deliverables and using your expertise in DOORS and requirements management.

Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, you will help establish clear specifications for processes and products, while coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors. English is essential; German and Dutch skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree and knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, esp. in Requirements Management, with DOORS experience a plus.
• Affinity with System Engineering processes, deriving requirements from operational scenarios.
• Experience in international development projects within a matrix organization.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent English; German and Dutch language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Capture customer requirements using the requirements management tool (DOORS).
• Establish baselines and ensure traceable changes.
• Analyze, group, and decompose requirements for clear specs.
• Make requirements smart, consistent, and resolve conflicts.
• Facilitate proactive communication to ensure proper capture of requirements.
• Structure requirements for specific work packages, internal or via outsourcing.
• Monitor development and report status to stakeholders.
• Conduct systems verification to gather objective evidence of compliance.
