Multinational Client Service Specialist – Casualty, Financial Lines & Cyber
Amsterdam, Netherlands – Hybrid Working
Our team serves as the operational hub for our Benelux business, working closely with underwriters to deliver the highest quality service to our clients, in partnership with brokers. The role focuses on supporting operations in Casualty (incl. environmental), Financial Lines and Cyber across the Netherlands and Belgium.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, brokers and other external parties (such as co‑insurers, co‑reinsurers, and AXA XL’s global network partners).
- Collaborate closely with underwriters, colleagues from other AXA XL offices, and network partners to ensure timely and accurate handling of accounts.
- Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing structured feedback and supporting the ongoing development of workflows and technology tools.
- Verify and review prepared policy documents, invoices and premiums, ensuring data accuracy and maintaining up‑to‑date records within our systems.
- Communicate clearly with clients, brokers and internal teams about the status of insurance contracts—issuance, bookings, outstanding premiums and instructions to network partners.
- Monitor premium flows and related transactions across clients, brokers, co‑insurers, and reinsurers to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Participate in broker and client events with peers (e.g., underwriting, claims, distribution, risk consulting).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in an underwriting support role, preferably within global program business.
- Knowledge of insurance products, ideally in Casualty, Financial Lines and/or Cyber.
- Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel at a minimum); a keen interest or advanced knowledge in data analytics—such as data processing and visualization—is highly valued.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch; proficiency in French is a plus.
- Proactive attitude with a robust desire to learn and develop.
- Robust interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build networks across all levels.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and system use.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, prioritization and time‑management skills, with a focus on delivering precise results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrating responsiveness and professionalism when working with underwriters, brokers, bureaus, and fronting partners.
