Job summary

Itproposal is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop to design, secure, and optimize our digital workplace for enterprise users. The role is based in Amsterdam and requires strong collaboration with IT teams to maintain a secure, scalable environment.

You will manage identity and access, AD and Entra ID, and ensure compliance across devices using Intune and GPOs, while delivering reliable EUC services for the organization.

Qualifications

• Fluent Dutch in speaking, reading and writing.
• 4–6 years of experience in digital workplace engineering or EUC environments.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop setup, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, and GPO management.
• Experience with MDM/MAM for iOS devices using Intune.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and access security.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Modern Workplace Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), device management, and identity/security administration. The ideal candidate is fluent in Dutch and experienced in managing secure, scalable digital workplace environments for enterprise users.

You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and securing the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, managing Azure Virtual Desktop environments, administering Active Directory and Azure Entra ID, and ensuring compliance across devices and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, manage, and maintain a Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace environment (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Office apps).
• Plan, operationalize, and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) to deliver secure EUC access.
• Administer Active Directory and Azure Entra ID, including policies for compliance, applications, and security.
• Manage Group Policies (GPOs) and device/user configurations.
• Prepare, package, and distribute workplace applications.
• Manage iOS mobile devices (iPhones, iPads) using MDM and application management tools.
• Enforce mobile device security policies and perform remote wipe actions via Microsoft Intune.
• Manage user rights in alignment with Identity & Access Management (IAM) services.
• Ensure workplace security, compliance, and operational continuity.
