Job summary

NTT DATA in the Netherlands is seeking a middleware engineer to operate and develop enterprise middleware platforms that connect applications, services and data. The role focuses on keeping middleware environments secure, available, and capable of supporting business-critical services.

You will monitor services, manage upgrades, and drive automation across development, test, and production environments to ensure reliable performance and resilient operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor middleware services, queues, application servers and integration components.
• Resolve incidents related to performance, connectivity, transactions and service availability.
• Install, configure, patch and upgrade middleware platforms.
• Support deployment and configuration across development, test and production environments.
• Troubleshoot application-to-middleware, database and network integration issues.
• Maintain certificates, connections, service accounts and security configurations.
• Support clustering, load balancing, resilience and disaster recovery.
• Automate recurring platform administration and deployment activities.
• Perform performance tuning and capacity analysis.
• Maintain operating procedures, platform documentation and knowledge articles.
• At senior levels, lead major upgrades, migrations and complex problem investigations.
• At L5, develop middleware architecture principles, patterns and platform roadmaps.
