Lean Management Institute in Zeist, the Netherlands, is seeking a mid-level Lean Consultant (Black Belt). You will guide broad Lean implementations across multiple sectors, map value streams and lead Kaizen events, coaching management and teams throughout the change process.
You’ll design improvements, translate analyses into actionable plans, and deliver in-company and open training sessions. A strong Lean background and fluent Dutch/English are essential, with international opportunities
Lean Black Belt and at least 3 years of experience
Zeist and on-site at client locations
32-40
You have guided a number of “ Lean ” improvement initiatives in practice—either as a consultant or in an internal role—and you now want to help organizations that wish to implement “ Lean ” on a broader scale than just within a single department. As a “ Lean ” Consultant at the Lean Management Institute, you’ll assess how a client’s work processes operate, show management where opportunities for improvement lie, and guide the change process until results are visible.
You work for organizations in sectors such as manufacturing, food and agriculture, construction, software, automotive, and government. One week you might be mapping out the value stream at a manufacturing company; the next week, you might be discussing with a municipal management team which improvements should be prioritized. Client requests vary widely, so you always choose the “ Lean ” approach that best fits the issue at hand.
The Lean Management Institute was founded in 2004 as part of the Lean Global Network, a worldwide network of Lean institutes. We advise and train organizations, develop teaching materials, organize events, and offer training programs ranging from Yellow Belt to Master Black Belt . Through the network, we collaborate with fellow institutes in other countries.
We do not appreciate unsolicited recruitment efforts in response to this job posting.
For us, if we do Lean, we want to do it in the best possible way. That is why we are the only company in the Netherlands that is closely linked to the founders of the Lean philosophy, Jim Womack and Dan Jones and the organization they founded: the Lean Global Network. They did extensive research and developed the Lean methodology, and published many books on the subject.
Our team consists of 12 driven and ambitious people.
