Job summary

Nearfield Instruments in Rotterdam is seeking an Assembly, Integration and Testing Technician to join the MAFM team. You will assemble, integrate and test state-of-the-art semiconductor metrology systems in our ISO 5 clean room and labs.

You bring hands-on assembly experience with precision tools, knowledge of instrumentation or optical engineering, and strong English communication. This full-time on-site role offers a competitive salary and a supportive team in a fast-growing high-tech company.

Qualifications

• Education in Instrumentation, Nano Technology, Optical Engineering or similar.
• Hands-on Assembly or AIT activities on highly complex systems.
• Experience with hand tools and measurement equipment.
• Good understanding of material properties.
• Work 5 days a week on-site in the clean room.
• Able to work in stressful situations.
• Proficiency in professional-level English.

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble parts based on drawings and instructions, such as integrating up the mechanical and micro-electronic assemblies in a MAFM.
• Perform (partial) test on semifinished products and systems in consultation with the team lead and/or other colleagues.
• Check whether required components are present and meet the set (quality) standards.
• Follow all relevant safety requirements and apply them consistently during work: identify potential risks and ask for attention.
• Work with the planning, tasks and set timelines in mind. You indicates in a timely manner if a problem or a bottleneck is expected.
• Ensure that the workplace is tidy and clean: uses materials in accordance with regulations and is critical of timely maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues within own area of focus and/or other teams.
