Job summary

Nearfield Instruments is seeking a technically skilled engineer to join our customer-facing metrology team in the Netherlands. You will bridge product development, onsite application services and sales to demonstrate AFM capabilities on customer wafers and contribute to R&D for future needs.

Requirements include a PhD or MSc in Physics, Mechatronics or related fields, experience with metrology tools in manufacturing, knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, AFM interest, and coding experience

Qualifications

PhD or MSc in Physics, Mechatronics, or related field.
Experience with metrology tools in manufacturing.
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing.
Interest or experience with atomic force microscopy (AFM).
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar data-analysis languages.

Responsibilities

Identify customer metrology needs with marketing and sales, and attend customer meetings.
Demonstrate capabilities of our products on customer wafers and analyze data.
Report and present findings to customers, highlighting metrology potential.
Create measurement recipes in customer fabs and train engineers and operators.
Collaborate with Development & Engineering and R&D to develop new measurement modes and data-processing methods.
