Job summary

People with Skills in Nijmegen is seeking a Metal Production / Machine Operator to work with stainless-steel pipes and components in a modern technical production environment. You will operate production machinery, perform cutting, bending, polishing or finishing, read technical drawings, measure components and ensure quality according to standards.

Candidates should have metalworking experience and be able to work in two shifts; English or Dutch at least B1; training and development

• Experience in metalworking, machining or technical production.
• Reading technical drawings is an advantage.
• Experience using technical measuring tools.

• Inspecting finished products for dimensions and quality.

Job description

Salary: €17.00–€21.00 gross per hour, depending on experience

For a modern technical production environment in Nijmegen, we are looking for a Metal Production / Machine Operator.

You will work with high-quality stainless-steel pipes and technical components. Depending on your experience, you may be involved in cutting, bending, polishing or finishing processes. You will operate production machinery and ensure that components are manufactured according to technical specifications and quality standards.

Your responsibilities

• Cutting, bending, polishing and finishing stainless-steel pipes and components


• Operating cutting, bending and other production machinery


• Setting up machines according to work instructions


• Preparing materials for welding or assembly


• Grinding, polishing and deburring metal components


• Reading technical drawings and production instructions


• Measuring components using technical measuring tools


• Inspecting finished products for dimensions and quality


• Reporting production or quality deviations


• Following all safety and quality procedures

Your profile

• Experience in metalworking, machining or technical production


• Previous experience as a machine operator is preferred


• Experience with cutting, bending, polishing or finishing is an advantage


• Experience working with stainless steel is preferred


• Ability to read technical drawings is an advantage


• Experience using technical measuring tools


• Practical, accurate and technically minded


• English or Dutch at a minimum B1 level


• Willing to work in a two-shift system
