Job summary

AXIS Career zoekt een gedreven Production Worker Metal voor een kleine, betrokken ploeg. Je werkt met diverse moderne machines en materialen en zorgt ervoor dat materialen en orders op de juiste plek en tijd zijn.

Je taken omvatten het verzamelen en controleren van materialen, het in gang zetten van orders, laden van materialen in machines en bedienen van CNC‑gestuurde apparatuur. Ervaring met CNC is een voordeel, maar leerbaarheid en praktische instelling vinden wij minstens zo belangrijk.

Qualifications

• MBO-werk- en denkniveau vereist.
• Interesse in technologie, productie en/of metaalbewerking.
• Ervaring in de metaalindustrie of met CNC is een voordeel.
• Gemotiveerd en gericht op ontwikkeling.
• Bereid om te leren en nieuwe taken/technologieën te omarmen.
• Kan zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband werken.
• Nauwkeurig werken en oog voor kwaliteit.
• Praktische instelling en hands-on mentaliteit.
• Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse taal.

Responsibilities

• Materialen verzamelen, controleren en sorteren.
• Opdrachten, setup sheets en overige informatie beoordelen.
• Materialen in machines laden voor bewerking.
• Bedienen van CNC-gestuurde machines.
• Werken met persen, frezen en lasermachines.
• Orderpicken en registreren als voltooid.
• Grondstoffen en overige materialen registreren.
• Voorraad monitoren en materialen bestellen wanneer nodig.
• Proces en kwaliteit van het werk bewaken.
• Nauw samenwerken met collega’s op de Jobshop en andere afdelingen.

Job description

As a Production Worker Metal, you play an important role in the production process. You will work as part of a small and dedicated team, making sure that materials and orders are in the right place at the right time. No two days are exactly the same. You will combine practical and technical work while working with a variety of modern machines and materials.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting, checking and sorting materials;
• Reviewing work orders, setup sheets and additional information;
• Loading materials into the appropriate machines for processing;
• Operating CNC-controlled machines;
• Working with machines such as press brakes, milling machines and laser cutting machines;
• Picking orders and registering them as completed;
• Recording and managing raw materials and other materials;
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials when necessary;
• Monitoring the progress and quality of the work;
• Working closely with colleagues in the Jobshop and other departments.

You will have plenty of opportunity to learn the trade on the job. Do you already have experience with CNC machines or metalworking? That is a great advantage. Don't have any experience yet, but are you technically minded and eager to learn? We would still be very happy to hear from you.

For this position, we are mainly looking for someone who enjoys getting hands‑on and is enthusiastic about technology and working in an industrial environment.

You will recognize yourself in the following:

• You have a vocational education level equivalent to MBO;
• You have an interest in technology, production and/or metalworking;
• Experience in the metalworking industry or with CNC machines is an advantage;
• You are motivated and eager to develop yourself further;
• You are eager to learn and open to new tasks and technologies;
• You can work well both independently and as part of a team;
• You work accurately and have an eye for quality;
• You have a practical mindset and are willing to roll up your sleeves;
• You have a good command of the Dutch language.
