Job summary

GKN Aerospace in Papendrecht, Netherlands, seeks an MES/MOM Developer to support and extend the Siemens Opcenter Execution platform across global sites. You will implement, validate and maintain MES solutions, translate business needs into MES objects, and build integrations with surrounding systems.

The role requires 5+ years in similar roles, strong Windows/IIS experience, and knowledge of Opcenter, Mendix, and .NET/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Windows server administration, IIS, certificates, services, firewall, and PowerShell.
• Experience with Kubernetes and managing applications running as Docker containers.
• Extensive experience with Oracle/MS SQL database management and query methods.
• Experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution (Camstar), including Designer and Portal Studio, Opcenter Connect MOM or similar.
• Experience with Mendix development.
• Knowledge of .NET, HTML, C++/C#, XML/XSL/XSD, VB Script.
• Experience in supporting/troubleshooting applications in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in IT projects implementation.
• Willingness to travel.
• Strong English communication; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain current MES deployments across production sites.
• Package and deploy new GKN customization releases to Test and Production environments.
• Install/upgrade and configure Opcenter for new implementations.
• Set up and maintain integrations with surrounding applications using Opcenter Connect MOM.
• Translate requirements into MES objects: workflows, equipment classes, etc.
• Develop custom logic when needed and justify business case.
• Define test specs and participate in tests and validation.
• Develop tools/templates to speed up design and increase stability.
• Conduct technical trainings to share development best practices.
