Job summary

GKN Aerospace in Papendrecht, The Netherlands, is seeking an experienced MES/MOM Systems Developer/Engineer to join an international team. You will work on development, implementation, validation and support of Siemens Opcenter Execution deployments across Europe, APAC and NA.

The role requires strong Windows server administration, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL databases, Mendix and .NET skills. You will translate business needs into MES objects and contribute to testing and deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Kubernetes and managing applications running as Docker Containers.
• Extensive experience in Oracle/MS SQL database management and query methods.
• Experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution (Camstar), including Designer, Portal Studio, Opcenter Connect MOM.
• Experience with Mendix development.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as .NET, HTML, C++/C#, XML/XSL/XSD, VB Script.
• Experience in supporting and troubleshooting applications in manufacturing environments.
• Strong English communication; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain current MES deployments in multiple Production sites.
• Package and deploy new GKN customization releases to Test and Production environments.
• Install/upgrade and configure Opcenter for new implementations and deployments.
• Set up and maintain integrations with surrounding applications using Opcenter Connect MOM.
• Translate functional and design specifications into MES objects: workflows, equipment classes, etc.
• Develop custom logic when justified by a valid business case and no out of the box solution is available.
• Define test specifications, participate in tests and validation.
• Develop tools and templates to speed up the design process and increase stability and usability.
