Job summary

Flex is seeking a MES Engineer in Oostrum, North Limburg, Netherlands to analyze, design, implement and support MES solutions in complex logistics and light-assembly environments. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, PSE, and IT to improve processes and system stability.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or similar.
• Solid understanding of logistics and/or light assembly processes.

• Proactive, service-oriented, and communicative.

Responsibilities

• Translate operational and customer requirements into clear MES process and application designs.
• Build and configure modular MES processes for logistics and light assembly flows.
• Implement changes in MES and integration platforms (FlexFlow, Brix, FCS and LinkX).
• Execute technical testing for changes and new releases.
• Monitor systems, analyze incidents, and resolve problems structurally.
• Perform process optimizations with Engineering and Operations.
• Ensure proper functional and technical documentation.
• Act as a trusted technical partner for internal stakeholders and customers.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a MES Engineer located in Oostrum, North Limburg, Netherlands. Reporting to the Senior IT Manager, the MES Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and support of MES solutions within complex logistics and light-assembly environments. You’ll work closely with Operations, Engineering, PSE, IT colleagues and customers to continuously improve processes and system stability.

What a typical day looks like:

• Translate operational and customer requirements into clear MES process and application designs
• Build and configure modular MES processes for logistics and light assembly flows
• Implement changes in MES and integration platforms (including FlexFlow, Brix, FCS and LinkX)
• Execute technical testing for changes and new releases
• Monitor systems, analyze incidents, and resolve problems structurally
• Perform process optimizations together with Engineering and Operations
• Ensure proper functional and technical documentation
• Act as a trusted technical partner for internal stakeholders and customers
