We seek a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and improve mechanical systems from concept to production, ensuring quality, safety, and manufacturability. The ideal candidate brings a strong CAD background, experience with SolidWorks or similar tools, and a proactive, collaborative approach to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level HBO degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a similar mechanical design role.
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems.
• Create 2D/3D models, drawings, and specs using CAD software.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Prepare BOMs, test procedures, and reports.
• Evaluate materials and manufacturing methods for performance and safety.
• Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

AV Flexologic is a global manufacturer of high-quality equipment for the flexographic industry. With offices in the Netherlands, Thailand, Mexico and the United States and a production facility in Romania, we serve customers all over the world. Our products are used by printing and packaging companies that strive for the highest quality and efficiency. As we continue to expand our global presence, we are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to our success.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to design, develop and test mechanical systems and products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design principles, CAD modelling and manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions from concept to production while ensuring high stands of performance, safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical components, systems, and equipm
• ent. Create 2D/3D models, detailed drawings, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo). Experience with 3DX is a plus.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, manufacturing, and quality) to optimize design for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation including BOMs, test procedures, and reports.
• Evaluate and select materials, components, and manufacturing meth
• ods.
• Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Continuously improve design processes and contribute to innovation initiatives.

Requirements

• HBO degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills. Results-oriented, decisive, and resilient under pre
• ssure. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written), Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to customers and our factory in Romania
