Job summary

Applied Materials in Delft, Netherlands, seeks a Process Engineer to design and optimize MEMS manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies. You will collect data, characterize hardware, troubleshoot issues, and generate technical documentation while engaging with customers.

You will collaborate with vendors and R&D teams on state-of-the-art projects, contributing across the product lifecycle from prototyping to production scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Experience with MEMS, cleanroom processes, and testing.
• Familiarity with process control; quality experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Comfortable in a flexible, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Prototype MEMS modules in a cleanroom environment
• Contribute to module design and iteration
• Develop and automate test setups
• Translate R&D into scalable production processes
• Oversee module assembly and supplier coordination
• Support lab operations and equipment maintenance
• Contribute to yield improvement and root-cause analysis
• Assist with quality systems and documentation
