Sendcloud is seeking a Medior Backend Engineer in Eindhoven with a hybrid in-office cadence (1-2 days per week). You will work on the core systems powering our e-commerce shipping platform, building scalable backend services in Python using FastAPI or Django, and integrating carrier APIs to serve merchants across Europe.

You'll join a cross-functional team, emphasize reliability and observability, and contribute to design discussions while mentoring newer engineers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Python experience with FastAPI or Django.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining REST APIs in production.
• Ability to plan, estimate, and deliver medium-sized features end-to-end.
• Experience with distributed systems, scalability, performance, and reliability.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to your team's technical roadmap and deliverables.
• Plan, estimate, and break down medium-sized features for on-time delivery.
• Deliver well-tested, scalable, secure, and performant software.
• Own problems and monitor reliability, incidents, and metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps, QA, and other teams.
• Mentor junior teammates and share knowledge.
