Job summary

Shipcloud in Rotterdam is seeking a Senior Engineer to own design and evolution of backend services within our cloud ecosystem. You will translate product vision into scalable architecture, lead technical decisions, and ensure reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.

Collaborate with infrastructure and frontend teams to deliver high-quality software solutions using .NET, Azure, and modern cloud practices.

Qualifications

7–9+ years of experience in .NET development.
Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core+ and related frameworks.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments (AKS or otherwise).
Proficiency with PostgreSQL and ORM tools like Entity Framework.

Responsibilities

Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
Lead and participate in code reviews, raising quality.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues.
Take ownership of non-functional requirements: cost, performance, reliability, and security.
Acquire and share new knowledge in software and cloud technologies.
Create monitoring and automated healing solutions to maintain reliability.
Contribute to technical planning and support the team in breaking down and estimating work.
